Rosemary Pool Deep Water Test

In order to swim beyond the lifeline, all children/youth under the age of 18 must pass the Deep Water Test each season. The test is given during the rest periods prior to 5:45 PM and is meant to display strength and stamina, not beauty of stroke.

Supervisors may alter times as conditions dictate and will make exceptions to times when proper amount of staff is on duty. Test consists of strong performance in:

(4) Swim 45 yards with strong over arm stroke, breathing and kicking.

So that strong swimmers are ready for the first day, special times have been set aside during the preseason. There will be no public swimming during this time, and participants must leave the complex at the conclusion of the test.

Pool passes are required. Please call (781) 455—7521 x 6 if in doubt about pool being open for testing.
