students will put on their dancing shoes to perform ̈Footloose," a high-spirited musical about the healing of powers of dance, friendship and community on Nov. 18-20. The musical, based on the popular 1984 film, features the songs ̈Footloose," "Almost Paradise" and "Let's Hear it for the Boy." Presented by the high school group Students Acting to Make a Difference (SAMD), performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18 and Saturday, Nov. 19 and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20 at , 200 Harris Ave.
Tickets are $10, and all net proceeds benefit the charity Tornado Relief for Joplin High School Theatre Arts in Joplin, MO, where a tornado last May destroyed one-third of the town.
Tickets can be ordered in advance at www.nhsfriendsofmusic.org. Any tickets remaining can be purchased at the door.
