The one-woman play Susan b. Anthony the Invincible will be presented by the League of Women Voters of Needham in the Community Room of the Needham Public Library as part of the Needham 300th anniversary celebration.
Actress Sally Matson portrays Susan B. Anthony's efforts traveling the country on behalf of temperance, abolition and woman's suffrage using Anthony's own words from her firey speeches, humorous letters and revealing diary entries.
Along with this presentation will be an exhibit of documents from the Needham Historical Society which will give a glimpse of the lives of Needham women and men and how they were involved in these major issues of the 19th and early 20th centuries.
