Standup comedian and writer Joel Chasnoff takes the stage Saturday, April 9 at Temple Aliyah’s Comedy Night. Known for intelligent humor informed by positive experiences of Jewish life, Chasnoff has stage and screen credits in eight countries; was the warm-up act on tour with Jon Stewart and Lewis Black of The Daily Show; and wrote a 2010 comic memoir, The 188th Crybaby Brigade, about his year a soldier in the Israeli army.
Comedy Night will begin with Havdalah, cocktails, a 50/50 raffle and silent auction at 8 p.m., and Chasnoff’s performance begins at 9 p.m. at the Temple, 1664 Central Ave., Needham. Adult admission is $40 (including one drink ticket); teen admission for ages 15 and up is $18 (including one soda ticket).
