We welcome Cindy Rivka Marshall, a professional story-teller from Needham. She has four audio recordings which have won numerous awards. Cindy runs ―The Dancing Tree Storytelling Studio‖ at the Gorse Mill Artists‘ Studios in Needham, where she offers workshops in sto-rytelling skills to educators, clergy and parents.
Cindy will present stories from "By the River: Women's Voices in Jewish Stories", including a version of the Exo-dus story, with a focus on the role of Miriam, Moses' sis-ter, another little known woman in the Bible, Serah bat Asher and folktales including, ―A Garment for the Moon‖.
In her stories, you will recognize echoes of the wonderful, courageous and spirit filled women in your own life also!
