Feeding Our Students: Forum Scheduled for Thursday, March 24

The League of Women Voters of Needham and Meatless Monday Needham are collaborating on the forum "Feeding Our Students - A Look at Nutrition Services in the Needham Public Schools.", that will be held on Thursday, March 24th from 7pm to 8pm on Zoom.

School nutrition services - what we may casually refer to as school lunches, have changed significantly in recent years. Find out... What meals are now provided? How are they funded? How are nutritional needs and federal requirements balanced with students’ expectations? How has the pandemic affected services? And have improvements been made in reducing food waste and increasing the recycling of mealtime materials?

Our speakers: Colin Boisvert, Director, and Jen Tuttelman, Assistant Director, Nutrition Services, Needham Public Schools will answer these questions and yours.
