  • Why go: ’s Students Acting to Make a Difference group will present the high-spirited musical “Footloose,” with all the familiar songs and proceeds benefitting the Joplin High School Theatre Arts program in Joplin, MO, where a tornado last May destroyed one-third of the town.

  • Why go: This fun fall production performed by Needham Community Theatre tells the story of the Little Sisters of Hoboken who must put on a variety show to pay for the burials of 52 sisters who were inadvertently poisoned by Sister Julia. Come see your neighbors at their funniest and support the local troupe.

  • Why go: Hear singer-songwriter folk musician Vance Gilbert perform at this local coffeehouse, which raises funds for various church programs.
