- Where/when: 39 Powisset St., Dover; Saturday, Sept. 3, 1:30-4:30 p.m.
- Why go: If you missed the ’s open houses in August, here’s a chance to enjoy a garden in nearby Dover. Help the volunteers at Powisset Farm plant, weed, harvest and work on other farm projects. All ages and skills are welcome; children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

- Where/when: The Natick Collection mall, 1245 Worcester St., Natick; Saturday, Sept. 3, 12:00-2:00 p.m.
- Why go: Girls ages 8 and up are invited to drop by the American Girl store at the Natick mall to decorate a paper dance slipper like the kind girls of the 1850s might have worn to a costume ball.

- Where/when: Norwood Town Common, Washington St. & Nahatan St., Norwood; Sunday, Sept. 4, 7:00-9:00 p.m.
- Why go: Bring lawn chairs or blankets and sit out on the Norwood Common to enjoy the music of the South Shore Circus Concert Band, which plays music celebrating the golden age of the American circus.

- Where/when: Irish Cultural Centre of New England, 200 New Boston Dr., Canton; Saturday, Sept. 3, 8:00-11:00 p.m.
- Why go: Every Saturday, the Irish Cultural Centre in Canton hosts traditional Irish music provided by Amy Basse & Friends. Enjoy an evening of great music, food and drink. Full menu and bar is open at 7:00 p.m.; music begins at 8:00 p.m.
