ATLANTIC CITY, N.J., June 24, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The Griswold Cares Foundation, a private charity established in 2010, raised close to $30,000 during a fundraising event at Griswold Home Care's 2014 National Conference in May. The fundraiser surpassed its initial goal of raising $20,000 to further advance the Foundation's vision of a future in which all seniors, including those with limited financial means, will have the opportunity to age with dignity in the comfort their own homes.
"The event was a success and raised close to $30,000," said Amanda Sites Hope, Administrator of the Griswold Cares Foundation. "We are thrilled with the success of the events that took place at the conference, and are grateful to everyone who helped the Foundation meet its fundraising goal, and for the generosity of the entire Griswold Home Care family."
All donations will help to fund the Foundation's Grants Program, which supports non-profit organizations that enhance the quality of life for low-income seniors and adults with disabilities who choose to age in place. In 2013, the Foundation was able to use donations from franchisees, friends and family to award $50,000 worth of grants to 34 non-profit organizations across the nation.
