Hit-And-Run Crash, Break-in, And More: Needham Police Log

June 14
2:45 p.m. - Officers were dispatched to a Central Avenue address for a report of a past motor vehicle hit and run. The crash is under investigation.

12:15 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to a 2nd Avenue address for a report of a past attempted breaking and entering. A check of the residence showed that the damage was consistent with normal wear and tear and was not an attempted breaking and entering.

10:20 a.m. - An officer responded to a Brookline Street address for a report of vandalism. After investigating it was determined to be a hit and run car crash. The Brookline Street resident had damage to his mulch and a small portion of a dividing wall. The next door Greendale Avenue resident had damage to his grass and a new, approximately 8-foot tall tree. No injuries were reported. There was no damage to any other yards on Greendale Avenue and no vehicles were observed in the area with any damage to them.
2:45 pm. - An officer responded to the Sheraton for the report of a vehicle that had been broken into overnight. A computer and a suitcase were stolen. The matter is under investigation.
