The James To Replace The Center Cafe

Tuesday night, the selectmen approved a liquor license transfer from the Center Cafe to the James.

NEEDHAM, MA — As one restaurant ends its time in Needham, another one is ready to open up shop.

Tuesday night, the selectmen approved a liquor license transfer from the Center Cafe to the James, to be located in the building that was home to the Center Cafe on Great Plain Avenue. The new restaurant will be operated by Stuart Henry, who has 24 years of experience and Cormac Dowling, who has worked with Henry in the past and also works as a firefighter in Brookline.

Aside from some changes to the bar, few adjustments to the space are expected. Both men said their goal is to make a family restaurant for the town.
