Jewelry Theft, Shoplifting, and More: Needham Police Log

April 26

A resident of Maple Street reported that someone had used his identity to open a Target credit card. Target was told that the account was fraudulent and it was cancelled.

2:42 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to a residence on Central Avenue for a report of a past larceny of jewelry. The ring was not insured and the owner was unable to provide a value of the item.

April 27

7:17 a.m. - An officer was dispatched to a Chestnut Street address on report of vandalism to a residence. Several rocks were found in the roadway and on the reporting party's property and there was minor damage to the residence. The rocks appear to have been thrown from the nearby MBTA tracks which cross over Chestnut Street.

12:17 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to Architrave on Great Plain Avenue on a reported larceny. The incident is under investigation.

April 28

8:27 p.m. - An officer responded to Central Avenue at Cedar Springs Lane on report of a two-car crash. There were no injuries and minor damage to both vehicles. A 35-year-old Framingham man will be summonsed to Dedham District Court for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

8:45 a.m. - An officer was dispatched to CVS on Highland Avenue for a report of shoplifting of prescription medications. After a brief investigation, a 22-year-old Needham woman will be summonsed to Dedham District Court for shoplifting.

A Laurel Drive resident reported that someone attempted to open a credit card using her name. Notifications made.
