Jewelry Theft, Vandalism, and More: Needham Police Log

The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

April 22

10:30 p.m. - Officer responded to a Rosemary Street address to serve a probation warrant issued out of Dedham District Court. Matthew Fitzgerald, 28, of Needham, was placed under arrest on a probation warrant.

10:55 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to a Blake Street residence on report of a compromised credit card.

April 23

12:15 a.m. - An officer observed an intoxicated juvenile at 7-Eleven on Highland Avenue. The juvenile was transported to the hospital due to his level of intoxication. An investigation into where the juvenile had been drinking led to another juvenile being charged with furnishing alcohol to a person under 21. That juvenile will be summoned to Dedham Juvenile Court.

6:15 a.m. - An officer observed a Grey Mitsubishi Eclipse speeding on Highland Avenue and also observed the vehicle did not have a front registration plate. After conducting a traffic stop, the passenger, identified as Ryan Gray, 24, of Norwood, was arrested on two outstanding warrants.

10:50 a.m. - An officer was dispatched to a Pine Grove Street residence for a report of vandalism to a fence.

3:00 p.m. - An officer responded to a Highland Avenue nursing facility for a larceny of some jewelry from a patient. The victim's niece reported the ring was last seen by her on April 1 and it was not on her aunt's finger where it usually is when she returned today for a visit. The matter is under investigation.
