Kindergarten Info Packets for 2015-16 Will Be Mailed Soon

Information about kindergarten registration for the 2015-16 school year will be made available just after the first of the year.

According to the Needham Public Schools website, kindergarten registration information packets will be mailed to eligible families in early January. Individuals who have recently moved to Needham should contact Penny Belezos in the Office of Student Development to be included on the mailing list.

The packets will include info about the registration process as well as dates for registering at your neighborhood school. All five of Needham’s elementary schools offer morning and afternoon half-day sessions of kindergarten.

The School Committee policy requires that “children must be five years of age by Aug. 31 in order to enter kindergarten and six years of age by Aug. 31 in order to enter grade one. There are no exceptions to this policy,” according to the district’s website.
