Larceny, Stolen Firewood: Needham Police Log
The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

February 17
10:45 a.m. - An officer was dispatched to an assisted living facility on Gould Street for a reported larceny from a resident's purse.
A walk-in from a Pine Grove Street address reported identity fraud. Several email and credit card accounts were hacked into by an unknown party. The victim has frozen their accounts, notified their banks and credit card companies, and will be closely monitoring their credit and online activity.

12:45 p.m. - An officer took a walk in report of stolen firewood from a Melrose Avenue resident. The wood is valued at approximately $100 and was in a pile approximately 3 feet by 3 feet covered by a tarp. The victim believed the wood may have been stolen in late January.

12:00 a.m. - An officer responded to a Needham Heights address for a report of an overdue juvenile. Following a brief investigation the youth was located walking home from a friend's house and returned to the care and custody of his mother.
1:25 a.m. - Officers responded to a Cabot Street business for a report of a disturbance. Following a brief investigation a 23-year-old Newton man was placed in protective custody.
February 19
9:15 a.m. - An officer responded to a Melrose Avenue residence for a report of items being stolen from the home. Upon investigation it was learned that items were not missing.
12:00 p.m. - An officer was flagged down by the operator of a moped on Highland Avenue. The operator stated they had been struck by another motor vehicle. The operator of the other motor vehicle left the scene without providing any of their information. After an investigation, the owner of the other vehicle was identified and their information was provided for crash documentation. The reporting party did not wish to pursue criminal charges.
February 20
9:24 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to the intersection of Highland Street near Webster Street for an person under the influence. A 31-year-old Cambridge man was taken into protective custody.
