League of Women Voters Host Candidate Forum Before Primary

The League of Women Voters of Needham, Natick and Wellesley are hosting a Candidate Forum on Wednesday, Aug. 27, at the Eliot School, 135 Wellesley Ave., Needham.
Dylan Hayre and Sara-Lynn Reynolds are running to become the Democratic candidate for the Norfolk, Bristol and Middlesex District State Senate seat currently held by Sen. Richard Ross. Sen. Ross is the candidate for the Republican Party and does not have a primary opponent.

The Norfolk, Bristol and Middlesex District includes Needham precincts A, B, C, I and J.
From 7-7:30 p.m. there is an informal “Meet and Greet” with the candidates. The forum begins at 7:30. The format includes a question and answer session and closing remarks, facilitated by a nonpartisan LWV moderator.

In addition to questions from LWVN members, candidates will also answer the audience’s written and oral questions. Questions may be submitted in advance by emailing voterservice2@lwv-needham.org and must be received by 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 26.
The Massachusetts State Primary is Tuesday, September 9. The last day to register to vote and to change party enrollment for the Massachusetts State Primary is Wednesday, August 20. Information about voter registration can be found at the Needham Town Clerk’s website.
