Live Grenade Found on Brookside Road, Needham
Bomb Squad moved the live grenade to Nike Street to be detonated.
According to scanner reports, responded today to the discovery of a live grenade on Brookside Road, before 1 p.m. today.
The bomb squad arrived on scene shortly afterward, and moved the grenade to the old Nike missile site, off of Pine Street, to detonate the explosive.
A Pine Street neighbor told Patch that the explosion was louder than they would have expected a grenade to be.
