Looking for Something to Do in Needham? Check Out These Needham Events

With many on vacation and the little ones home from school, it’s likely that you could be looking for something to do this week.

Have no fear, there are plenty of local events for all ages right hear in Needham. From cardboard puppet shows to New Year’s Eve parties, there is something for all ages to enjoy between now and the end of the year.

Here are a few events going on in Needham:

• On Dec. 30, The Eliot and Hill school will be holding a puppetry-themed experience entitled Carboard Explosion. The interactive show will feature five stories powered by the audience’s imagination. Lead by puppeteer Brad Shur, the show will begin on Wednesday Dec. 30 at the Eliot School located at 135 Wellesly Avenue. Tickets will cost $3 per person with a cap of $10 per family.
• The city will be holding its annual New Year’s Needham event with events going on all day on Dec. 31. There will be musical acts, magic shows and theatre performances. There will also be an adults-only New Year’s Eve countdown party located at Powers Hall starting at 9:30 p.m. Tickets to the countdown party can be purchased for $25 at Town Hall, online and at the door.
• The Needham Business Association is holding a dinner at Center Cafe located at 1027 Great Plain Avenue on Dec. 31. The dinner will last from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and reservations are strongly recommended. There will be a special menu.
