MBTA Train Strikes Vehicle Near Needham Heights

A Commuter Rail train struck a car parked near the tracks Thursday morning.

NEEDHAM, MA — A Commuter Rail train struck a car parked near the tracks Thursday morning.

Fire Chief Dennis Condon said the car was parked close to the tracks at the Needham Heights station on West Street. No injuries were reported.

Due to the crash, train 600 was canceled and the 6:40 a.m. from Needham Heights originated from Needham Center. Commuters were transported from Needham Heights to Needham Center by bus.
