MetroWest Commission To Hold Reproductive Justice Forum

The forum will center around issues related to reproductive justice, including legislation currently pending at the MA Legislature.

NEEDHAM, MA — The MetroWest Commission on the Status of Women along with state Senator Becca Rauch are hosting Breaking the Cycle of Shame – A Reproductive Justice Forum from Adolescence to Parenthood on November 6th at Needham Town Hall, Powers Hall from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m.

The panelists include Brandon Adams, FSU student and board member of the Dept. of Education’s Safe and Supportive School’s Commission; Mehreen Butt, Associate Director of Policy for Planned Parenthood; Kim Comatas, lead teacher at Partners in Sex Education; Lisa MacDonald, Director of Equity Compliance at MassBay Community College and Title IX Coordinator/Affirmative Action Officer; and Kate SoEntra-Butler, Founder and Executive Director of Dignity Matters.

The forum will focus on several bills currently before the MA legislature, including Sen. Rauch’s Reproductive Justice bill; Increased Access to Menstrual Products; Healthy Youth; Sexual Violence on Higher Ed Campuses; Pregnant Persons Act; and the ROE Act.
