Michelle Obama Lends Support to Walker School Event

First Lady Michelle Obama lent her support to the Walk for Walker this week, thanking committee members "so much for taking the time to promote health and wellness."

Walk for Walker committee members Callie McKay and Emma Niden wrote to Obama, informing her of the event and relating how it fits in with the First Lady's "Let's Move!" campaign.

Promoting health and wellness, Obama continued, "are vital to the success of this ambitious goal."

The Walk for Walker "Change Shoes, Change Lives" takes place in Needham Sept. 12.
