Missing Engagement Ring, Larceny: Needham Police Log
The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

March 12
9:30 a.m. - An officer stopped a motor vehicle for multiple traffic violations near the intersection of Great Plain and Greendale avenue. As a result of the traffic stop, a 57-year-old Needham man was issued a summons for a right of way violation, an unsecured load violation, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
10:00 a.m. - An officer was dispatched to a Crescent Road business to investigate a report of a past break-in and larceny from a building. A pump was stolen. The incident is under investigation.

10:45 a.m. - An officer was performing selective enforcement on Great Plain Avenue. As a result of a traffic stop, a 25-year-old woman from Framingham was issued a summons for unlicensed operation and a number plate violation.
3:25 p.m. - An officer took a walk-in report for a lost engagement ring. The reporting party stated that the ring had been lost from a Highland Avenue facility. After reporting the ring lost, it was soon recovered at the same property.

7:00 p.m. - An officer responded to a 2nd Avenue residence for a report of a hit and run crash. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the reporting party. They stated they had been gone for approximately three weeks and when they returned they found their car with extensive damage. The damage was consistent with someone driving into it and driving away. A check of the area yielded negative results. The matter is still under investigation.
A Needham High student was caught tagging the boys bathroom. The student was issued a summons.
March 14
4:30 p.m. - A Hillside Avenue business received threats. The investigation revealed a misunderstanding. The threatening party was advised and the issue was resolved.
Match 15
1:05 a.m. - An officer observed a motor vehicle speeding in Needham Center, after initiating a traffic stop and subsequent investigation, a 20-year-old Wellesley woman was issued a summons for speeding and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
10:55 a.m. - An officer pulled a vehicle over on Dedham Avenue. As the result of a brief investigation the vehicle owner will be summoned to court for uninsured operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with revoked registration. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
An elderly resident of Highland Avenue reported being frustrated by many calls trying to scam her. She was advised to hang up and not to give them any information.
5:22 p.m. - An officer responded to a 1st Avenue business for a report of fraudulent activity. Based on the investigation, a 36-year-old Needham woman was issued a summons larceny over $250 and uttering.
March 16
1:15 a.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle for a defective tail light on Highland Avenue. Upon further investigation the vehicle's registration was revoked due to insurance cancellation. The vehicle was towed from the scene and a 47-year-old Randolph man was issued a summons for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle after revoked registration, and defective tail light.
