Missing Money, Theft, And More: Needham Police Log
The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

May 17
11:30 a.m. - An officer was dispatched to a Highland Avenue business for a report of fraud. The reporting party stated that Eversource called and wanted her to pay $700 or her electricity would be shut off. The reporting party called Eversource and it was confirmed that the phone call was a scam.
8:30 p.m. - A Glover Road resident came to the police station to report a fraudulent transaction which occurred online with PayPal as the mode of payment. The victim sold a pair of Yeez basketball sneakers for $725 The PayPal account was fraudulent and the company had no record of any payment. The victim reported the incident to PayPal and the Miami, Florida Police Department which is the given address of the buyer.

May 18
6:30 a.m. - An officer stopped a motor vehicle in Needham Square. After subsequent investigation, a 41-year-old Rockland man will be summoned to Dedham District Court for operating a motor vehicle after license suspension, subsequent offense.

7:45 a.m. - An officer responded to an Eaton Road address for a past larceny. The homeowner stated that sometime over night someone had stolen the rims and tires from his vehicle. The matter is under investigation.
8:45 a.m. - A worker reported numerous tools stolen from a Central Avenue work site. The theft occurred between May 12-16. The theft is under investigation.
10:00 a.m. - A Needham resident reported that someone hit her vehicle while it was parked in the Chestnut St. lot. There were no witnesses.
9:00 a.m. - A Needham resident contacted the police department in regards to a suspicious voicemail that she received from someone claiming to be a US Marshal. The phone call was investigated and determined to be a scam. All information was forwarded to the US Marshals to investigate a possible impersonation attempt.
May 19
A Wellesley resident reported money missing from a car that had been dropped off at a Needham garage for service. The matter is under investigation.
5:30 p.m. - An officer responded to a High Street address for a report of an interrupted larceny. The area was checked for a person matching the suspects description with negative results. The stolen property was recovered and returned to its rightful owners. The incident is still under investigation at this time.
8:05 p.m. - An officer responded to a Webster Street address for a report of a past larceny. Upon arrival, the reporting party stated that a bicycle had been taken from the residence. The incident is currently under investigation.
