Motorcycle Crash, Larceny, And More: Needham Police Log

July 24
5:50 p.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle in the area of Highland Avenue with only one registration plate. A query of the registration showed that the registration was revoked. As a result of the stop, the operator, a 27-year-old Norwood man, was issued a summons for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and failure to display number plate.
8:40 p.m. - An officer conducting traffic enforcement on Dedham Avenue stopped a vehicle with a non functioning plate light. Following a brief investigation, a 35-year-old Norwood man was issued a summons for operating a vehicle with a revoked license.

July 25
12:16 p.m. - A Chestnut Street resident came in to report fraudulent banking activity. The reporting party stated that several checks were drawn from her bank account that she didn't recognize. The matter is under investigation.

10:10 p.m. - A Carlton Drive resident came in to report a lost license plate on his vehicle. It was entered into CJIS.
July 26
10:30 a.m. - An officer responded to a Dedham Avenue address for a possible Craigslist scam. The matter is under investigation.
12:30 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to a Great Plain Avenue address on report of a past larceny. The victims stated that they had been scammed out of $1,775 over the past ten days by a man who they had hired to complete some electrical contracting work for their business. As a result of this investigation, a 39-year-old Marlborough man will be issued a summons for larceny over $250 and larceny over $250 by single scheme.
3:45 p.m. - An officer responded to a crash involving a motorcycle at the intersection of Great Plain Avenue Fair Oaks Park. As a result of the investigation, a 54-year-old Randolph man from Randolph will be cited for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. The operator of the second vehicle was also cited for failure to use caution when starting.
5:45 p.m. - An officer responded to a Chestnut Street business for a reported disturbance. The disturbance was between an employer and employees regarding compensation. The employees were advised to vacate the premises and the employer agreed to leave them a check the following day. The employees were terminated at the scene and verbally no trespassed on the property. The employer will draft a letter of disinvite to the three employees not to return in the future.
