Needham Among Safest Communities In Country: Report

Needham is one of the safest places to raise a child, according to new rankings published by SafeWise.

NEEDHAM, MA — Needham is one of the safest places to raise a child, according to new rankings published by SafeWise.

Three Massachusetts communities are among 30 safest places in the country to raise a child and 20 honorable mentions, according to the rankings. Needham was listed as an honorable mention.

To make the rankings, SafeWise compiled the most recent FBI crime data from 2015 to rank the cities. The company also considered parks and recreational opportunities as well as special programs for kids and families.
