Needham Artist Walton on Display at Library Through June

Walton studied with artist Nancy Howell.

Watercolor paintings by Needham artist Nancy Motley Walton are featured this month in the Friends' Gallery at the Needham Free Public Library.

A graduate of Trinity College, Hartford, CT, Nancy began her painting career in the mid-eighties, painting in oils in the field of Decorative Arts.  After several years, feeling the need for a "looser" painting medium, she moved into watercolors, studying with Dedham artist Nancy Howell.  Subsequently she has studied under George Shed, renowned portrait painter Robert Cormier, Australian painter Alvaro Castagnet and Paul George of Gloucester.

For the last seven years, Walton has been teaching watercolor classes in Needham.
