Needham Bans Flavored E-Cigarettes

Town officials said the new law will lower the number of underage smokers.

NEEDHAM, MA — Residents who want their flavored vapes are going to have to go out of town to buy them. The board of health on Friday morning voted unanimously to ban the sale of flavored cigarettes and e-cigarettes.

Town officials told NECN the new law will help curb the number of underage smokers. Local business owners argued the ban could cost them $12,000 a week in sales.

The ban takes starts on July 1.
