Needham Body Shop Employee Faces Drug Charges

The Needham PD supplied the following information. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Sept. 4

  • At 12:12 a.m., police responded to a report of taxi fare evasion on Harris Ave. The caller said that a man in his mid 20s had gone into a residence to get money to pay the fare and didn’t come back out. It appears the man got out at the residence, didn’t go in, and fled the area.
  • At 10:51 a.m., police responded to a report of fraud. A resident of Richardson Drive said that they got an email stating that a relative was “in distress” and to send $2,500 to assist.

Friday, Sept. 5

  • At 7:38 a.m., police responded to the Needham Body Shop for a report of an employee who was acting erratically and believed to possibly be under the influence of drugs. Vladimir Malkin, 33, 54 Grant St., of Newton, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
  • At 12:04 p.m., police stopped a car at the intersection of Highland Ave. and Rosemary Street. The driver had a revoked license. Jeffrey Miller, 19, 10 Loiselle Lane, from Chelmsford, was placed under arrest for operating with a revoked license and his car was towed from the scene.
