Needham Coronavirus: Over 100 Confirmed Cases
Here's the latest updates about the coronavirus in Needham.
NEEDHAM, MA — Needham has 108 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in town, as of Tuesday. So far, 46 residents have recovered from the virus. Two public safety employees have had confirmed cases. The town said those two employees are recovered.
The increased number of cases in town is due in part to the increase in testing and the help of the National Guard in testing residents at long term care facilities. According to the town, Needham Public Health along with the MA Department of Public Health is working closely with these facilities to ensure adequate safeguards are in place to protect staff, residents, and the broader community.
The Needham Community Council Food Pantry continues to offer food to anyone affected by the virus. Residents can call the Council at 781-444-2415. Income certification is on hold until further notice.

The total number of cases in the state is 28,163. Gov. Charlie Baker said on Tuesday, about half the state's nearly 16,000 hospital beds are available for patients suffering from COVID-19.
