Needham Girl Could Win $250,000 For Invention
Grace Murphy is one of five finalists in the Dreamvention invention contest.

NEEDHAM, MA — A 12-year-old from Needham think she has the solution for people who need a place to store your stuff when you're on the run.
Grace Murphy is one of five finalists in the Dreamvention invention contest. Her idea is the Shoe Purse, a small bag you can put on the heel of your shoe and use to hold your keys or small valuables.
Murphy said she came up with the idea when she lost a pair of earrings from her grandparent while playing soccer. That's when she decided that she needed something small to store her valuables.
