Needham High School Listed Among Top 15 High Schools in Massachusetts

NEEDHAM, MA — Needham High School received a gold medal for being one the best high schools in Massachusetts, according to the U.S. News and World Report’s 2017 Best High Schools rankings.

Needham placed 14th in the state and 379th nationally. Boston Latin School was named the top high school in Massachusetts.

The ranking was good enough to earn a gold medal, which is given to the top 500 schools based on their highest college readiness scores.

These are Needham's vital stats, according to the survey:

• 15:1 student-teacher ratio
• 60.8 college readiness score
• 65 percent participate in AP exams
• 92 percent pass AP exams
• 96 percent proficiency in math
• 99 percent proficiency in English
• 99 percent graduation rate
