Needham Hit And Run: Driver Seriously Injured On I-95
Police said the victim was struck after he pulled over due to an overheating engine.

NEEDHAM, MA — A Roslindale man was taken to the hospital following a hit and run on Interstate 95.
At about 10 p.m. Friday night, state police received a report of a hit and run crash involving a pedestrian on the southbound side of the highway at exit 19 in Needham.
A preliminary investigation indicates that a 22-year-old man had pulled his vehicle into the breakdown lane because his vehicle's engine was overheating. After he left the vehicle, he was struck by a vehicle traveling past his location. The vehicle that struck the pedestrian did not stop and continued traveling southbound, police said.

The pedestrian was transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
State Police are seeking to identify the operator of the vehicle that struck this pedestrian. Anone with information regarding the crash can contact the Massachusetts State Police at 508-820-2250.
