Needham To Hold Informational Party On Solar Program

The Town's Solarize Mass Plus Needham program aims to help Needham residents reduce their carbon footprint and energy costs.

NEEDHAM, MA — Needham is encouraging residents to learn more about energy efficient solar panels and to get the word out, it's throwing a party. The Town’s Solarize Mass Plus Needham program is hosting a Solarize House Party on Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. at the home of Liz Gregg, 1306 Great Plain Ave.

Residents will be able to learn about greening their homes while enjoying appetizers, Treat Cupcake Bar desserts, and door prizes from local businesses. The Town’s official Solarize Needham vendors, Boston Solar and N.E.T.R. Inc., will be on hand to answer questions and explain the Federal and State financial incentives available in 2020.

The Town’s Solarize Mass Plus Needham program, which began in September 2019, aims to help Needham residents reduce their carbon footprint and energy costs. The program offers discounted pricing from pre-approved vendors for solar panels and air source heat pumps. The discounts are available through April 2020.
