Needham Library Curbside Pickup Temporarily Suspended Due To Town Employee Suspected Of Having Coronavirus
The employee has notified the Needham Public Health Department and has been quarantined.

NEEDHAM – Thursday, July 9, 2020 -- A Department of Public Works employee who worked in the Needham Library last week is suspected of having COVID-19.

That employee has notified the Needham Public Health Department and has been quarantined. As a result, in keeping with state protocols, the Needham Library will be closed Friday, July 10th for cleaning.
The Needham Public Health department has begun contract tracing to identify any individuals considered close contacts of the employee, including other Town employees, and will work with those individuals to ensure they take the proper steps to protect themselves and others against further spread.

The employee did not have interaction with the general public, and there is no reason to believe that anyone who participated in pickup or drop off of library materials is at risk. The Library hopes to resume curbside pickup as soon as possible.
