Needham Medical Marijuana Dispensary Candidates Down to 2
The organizations met with the selectmen this week.

NEEDHAM, MA - The two medical marijuana companies vying for a letter of support from the Needham selectmen met with the board this week.
Medical Marijuana of Massachusetts Inc., MMM, is proposing an appointment-only model, according to the Needham Times. The model includes free delivery and a limited range of products.
Originally, MMM proposed a system that would see the organization returning the leftover product at the end of the day to their Plymouth growth facility. Due to concerns from Police Chief John Schlittler, that has been scraped and all extra product will remain locked up on site overnight.

The second candidate, Sage Cannabis, is proposing a similar model and will limit the amount of product available to purchase to one ounce.
For a dispensary to open in a community, a letter of support or non-opposition is required from the town's governing body. The Needham selectmen have stated they will issue no more than one.
