Needham Medical Marijuana Store Opening This Week

NEEDHAM, MA — Needham's first medical marijuana dispensary will open this week, according to the company's CEO.

Michael Dundas, Sira Natural’s CEO, told the Needham Times that they will open by the end of the week. The Needham location is their third. They have two other dispensaries in Cambridge and Somerville.

Sage Naturals received a letter of non-opposition from the selectmen in 2016, and a building permit last year. They will be required to pay the town $100,000 or 3 percent of gross sale revenue yearly, depending on which number is higher. The deal is part of the community agreement between the business and town.

The dispensary will only be opened to those with Massachusetts medical marijuana cards. No walk-ins will be allowed.
