Needham, Meet the Cantata Singers!

Coming to Needham for a December 2017 concert as part of the Great Hall Concert Series, but no need to wait to hear them!

The Cantata Singers (www.cantatasingers.org), a premier Boston performing chorus and ensemble, will perform on the Great Hall series in Needham in December 2017. However, there is no need to wait in order to hear them! As chair of the Board of Trustees of Cantata Singers, I am delighted to introduce Needham to this wonderful organization. (And to Needhamites who already support the group, thank you!)

This Friday at 8pm, February 24th, the Cantata Singers will perform the Bach B Minor Mass at Jordan Hall (New England Conservatory) and will repeat the concert at Cary Hall in Lexington on Sunday, February 26th at 3pm for those who prefer a suburban venue. Cantata Singers concerts always feature lively talks about the music that are held one hour before the performance.

All are cordially invited to the Cantata Singers auction, which will be held at the Liberty Hotel in Boston on March 25th. For tickets and further information, please see www.cantatasingers.org. There will be both a silent and live auction; extraordinary auctioneer Gloria Lieberman (of Skinner and PBS's Antiques Roadshow) will again conduct the live auction action. Not to be missed!

The Cantata Singers have been an integral part of the Boston area music scene for the past 53 years. Under maestro David Hoose for nearly 35 years, the group performs the ageless music of J.S. Bach as its core, while also delighting audiences with contemporary works as well as works by little-known composers, such as the baroque Czech composer Jan Dismas Zelenka.
