The town of Needham is moving closer to filling its vacant school committee seat.
Three individuals have filed letters of interest to fill the opening, according to the Needham Times. The town announced the vacancy back in June.
Joe Barnes left the committee after accepting a role as Needham High School’s interim principal.

The applicants for the position are Andrea Longo Carter, David Escedy and Beth Xiarhos. Each individual is a resident of the town.
