Needham Police: Dog Bites Boy Off Bus; Man Drives Drunk Without a Tire

The following are excerpts from the Needham police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Nov. 6

  • At 4 p.m., a Needham boy reported that he was bitten by a dog while stepping off the school bus. Needam police searched for the dog.

Saturday, Nov. 8

  • At 12:56 a.m., police spotted a car cross a double yellow line at Webster Street and Highland Street. The car was pulled over and the operator had a suspended license. The 30-year-old boston resident will be summonsed to Dedham District Court for operating with a suspended license, and marked lanes violation.
  • At 10 p.m., police made a security check of the Pollard middle School and saw a gray Toyota Corolla driving without a front left tire. The car went through the middle school to and back onto Glenwood Road. Police pulled the car over. Freddy Soto, 23, 172 Milton St., Apt. 1, Dedham, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol and defective equipment.
