Needham Police: Doorhandles Epoxied; Housebreak; Drunk Man at Bertucci's; Road, Bicycle Rage

Saturday, Nov. 29

• At 3:02 a.m., police responded to a report of a man evading a taxi fare in Needham Center. The man fled on foot, and he was not found.
• At 11:03 a.m., police took a report of larceny from a resident at 299 Charles River Road. The resident said that within the past he has a wildlife camera stolen from his property.
• At 2 p.m., a resident of Yurick Road told police that he found an arrow lodged into his front lawn.
• At 4:47 p.m., police responded to a Pickering Street residence for a report of a past property damage crash. The person said that she struck a deer on Dedham Ave. and the animal fled the scene.
• At 8:38 p.m., police responded to Webster Green for a report of a suspicious person.
• At 9:57 p.m., police responded to Harris Ave. for a report of a one-car crash into a tree. The caller said that a car left the roadway, hit a tree, and continued on.

Sunday, Nov. 30

• At 7:36 a.m., police were dispatched to a parking lot on Central Ave. for a hit and run crash. An employee at the residence had discovered minor damage to her car.
• At 9:30 a.m., a resident of Laurel Drive reported that he was riding his bike on South Street and was involved in a verbal argument with a motorist. The motorist, a Deerfield Road resident was contacted by an officer and advised to be less aggressive in the future.
• At 11:22 a.m., police responded to Kenny Street for a report of a hit and run that occurred last night. The resident said that as he was turning on to Greendale Ave. a red SUV hit him and continued to travel on without stopping. No injuries.
• At 7:35 p.m., police responded to Bercucci’s for a report of a drunk man. The person appeared to be intoxicated and was placed in protective custody.
• At 10 p.m., a Norwood resident came into police headquarters to report that epoxy had been placed on her door handles while she was at a meeting on Highland Ave.
• At 11 p.m., police responded to Sachem Road for a reported breaking and entering at 5 Sachem Road. Computers and electronics were taken.
