Needham Police: Driver Arrested for OUI After Hitting Pole, Wires Light on Fire; B&E on Seabeds

The following are excerpts from the Needham police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Oct. 23

  • At 4:30 p.m., police responded to Avery Manor for a report of some items that were missing from a patient’s room. The patient had switched rooms and the items were stolen when he got to his new room.
  • At 11:15 p.m., police responded to a report of a vehicle fire on Central Ave. The car had hit a utility pole and the wires were on fire. The driver was placed under arrest. Matthew Hamory, 38, 963 Central Ave. Needham, was arrested and charged with OUI. Central Ave. was closed while the pole was replaced.

Friday, Oct. 24

  • At 4:40 p.m., police took a report of a past B&E at a residence at 22 Seabeds Way
  • At 8:26 p.m., police pulled a vehicle over for having a revoked registration. The operator was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Chelsea District Court for multiple motor vehicle violations. Jose Germosen, 39, 36 Chambers St., Providence, RI, was also charged with operating a vehicle with a revoked license, operating with a revoked registration due to insurance cancellation.
