Needham Police Log: BB Gun Fired, Assisted Living Home Fight, and More

The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

May 10

2:30 p.m. - An officer responded to Panera Bread on Highland Avenue for a report of a possible crash. Both parties advised to file a claim with their insurance companies.

A Warren Street resident came into the police station to report that sometime over the last eight months, two ladders were stolen from his yard.

4:00 p.m. - An officer responded to a Sachem Road address for a report of property damage. The victim stated that the vehicles at a neighboring construction site drove over their lawn and damaged their bushes. The damages was documented and advised the reporting party that this was a civil matter and they could pursue it in civil court.

May 11

A resident of Tewksbury reported that her car was hit while it was parked at a relative's house on Pine Grove Street on May 2. The vehicle was parked there between 11AM and 2PM. There were no witnesses.

An officer responded to a Great Plain Avenue address for the report of a worker who hit a natural gas line. The worker was installing a fence and struck the service line to the house. Eversource Gas responded to the house and turned off the gas and repaired the line.

A Needham resident reported she had an altercation with an employee of a CVS in Needham Center. Needham police are investigating.

6:35 p.m. - An officer took a report of a larceny of a backpack from Needham High School

May 12

A North Hill resident at the police station reported that her ring was missing. The matter is under investigation.

2:30 p.m. - Officers responded to an assisted living residence on Gould Street. The calling party stated that two employees got into a physical altercation. After speaking to all parties involved, they were advised they could seek a criminal complaint at Dedham District Court for a past assault and battery. The director of the facility stated they would handle it in house.

5:30 p.m. - An officer responded to a Great Plain Avenue address for a report of a suspicious party. After speaking with the reporting party, it was determined that that party had no nefarious intentions and had left the area prior to my arrival.

6:30 p.m. - An officer conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Central Avenue and St. Marys Street. As a result of the stop a 22-year-old Roslindale woman will be summonsed to Dedham District Court for operating with revoked registration and operating with a suspended license.

10:00 p.m. - Officers were dispatched to a Fair Oaks Park address for a report of an individual firing a BB gun at homes. After a brief investigation, the suspect, a 21-year-old Needham man, was identified and the BB gun was seized.
