Needham Police Log: Break-in and Chase, Plywood Thief, and More

January 4

8:40 p.m. - An officer responded to a White Pine Road residence for a report of phone fraud. The matter is under investigation.

1:45 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to a Greendale Avenue address for a report of a past incident of vandalism to a vehicle. A further investigation of the damage showed that it was due to striking a curb while operating.

An officer on Wexford Street observed a gray Nissan Maxima with canceled plates. The owner was cited for attaching plates and operating an unregistered vehicle.

10:30 p.m. - An officer responded to a Highland Avenue business for a report of a past disturbance caused by a former employee. The business will notify the employee by mail that they are no longer welcome on the property.

January 5

1:00 a.m. - An officer responded to a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. After a short foot pursuit, the suspect, Chukwudike Enemuo, 26, of New York City, New York, was arrested for breaking and entering in the nighttime with intent to commit felony and resisting arrest.

8:15 a.m. - An officer responded to a First Avenue business for a larceny report at a construction site. Multiple pieces of plywood were taken from the site sometime over the past weekend. The plywood is valued at over $1,500. The matter is under investigation.

An officer pulled over a vehicle over on Mark Lee Road. After a brief investigation, a 17-year-old Dover woman will be summoned to court for attaching plates, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
