Needham Police Log: Break-in, OUI, and More
The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

January 6
5:15 p.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle on Highland Avenue near Cross Street After a brief investigation the operator, a 57-year-old Needham man, was cited and will be summoned to Dedham District Court for operating an unregistered Motor Vehicle and unlicensed operation. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
7:00 p.m. - A Plymouth Road resident came to the police station to report she had been scammed via e-mail. The resident had received an email from Bank of America stating that her debit card had been locked and they needed some of her information to unlock the card. The resident provided the requested information. She then contacted the bank who told her that they had not contacted her and that the email was a scam. Her debit card was cancelled and a new one was issued. The victim notified the credit reporting agencies.

January 8
7:00 p.m. - A Quincy resident at the police station told police that someone had entered her vehicle on Dwight Road and stole some items from a purse. The matter is under investigation.

January 9
1:20 a.m. - An officer was dispatched to Highland Avenue by the Newton line for the report of possibly intoxicated driver. The officer observed a vehicle matching the description on Highland Terrace and stopped the vehicle on Highland Avenue After further investigation Allison Theall, 46, of Needham, was arrested and charged with for operating under the influence of alcohol.
