Needham Police Log: Cocaine Possession, Threats to Commit a Crime, and More

The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

April 29

Needham Police stopped a motor vehicle on Central Avenue for a marked lanes violation. During the course of the stop, a pipe was discovered. The pipe tested positive for the presence of cocaine. A 27-year-old male from Needham will be charged with possession of cocaine.

An Officer observed a loud argument on Lincoln Street and spoke with the parties involved and determined that it was only verbal in nature. The involved parties went their separate ways.

4:15 p.m. - A Wellesley resident told police that she was bitten by a dog outside of a Scott Road address. The incident is under investigation.

7:30 p.m. - An officer responded to a Chestnut Street address for a reported disturbance at this location. After speaking with all parties involved, it was determined that a 28-year-old Dedham man will be summonsed to Dedham District Court for threats to commit a crime.

Officers responded to a Parker Road residence for a well-being check and possible disturbance. Upon further investigation, alcohol was found in the residence with multiple people under 21 years of age. After consulting with all parties, an 18-year-old Needham resident was placed in protective custody and transported to the police station. That same 18-year-old Needham resident will be summoned to Dedham District Court for furnishing alcohol to minors. All other parties were released to their parents.

May 15

1:11 a.m. - An officer responded to a Webster Street address for a report of vandalism. The reporting party stated that group of high school aged kids walked by his residence, smashed a cinder block and pulled out two reflectors on the side of the road. Multiple units checked the area but were unable to locate the parties described. There are no suspects at this time.
