August 24
A resident on Avery Street reported that someone had used his identification to file a false tax return. The IRS is investigating.
9:00 a.m. - An officer stopped a blue Nissan sedan that failed to display an inspection sticker. The operator of the motor vehicle was operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. The operator of the motor vehicle, a 22-year-old Dedham male, will be charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and operating a motor vehicle with no inspection sticker.

August 25
12:10 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to a Pickering Street address in regards to a past suspicious person that had been seen in the area three hours earlier.

12:47 p.m. - An officer responded to Locust Lane for a report of a damaged mailbox. There were some light scratches on the mailbox door and the pole had been turned slightly. It appeared that someone backing out, or parked on the street, may have inadvertently struck it.
August 27
12:20 a.m. - An officer was dispatched to the area of Greendale Avenue for a report of a cab driver having an argument with a fare regarding payment. The passenger was intoxicated and throwing up. The passenger was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Payment was arranged for the cab.
12:30 p.m. - An officer responded to a Grant Street residence for a disturbance. A female party was asked to leave the residence after having an argument with the homeowner. The female left without incident.
5:40 p.m. - An officer stopped and vehicle and investigated the operator’s license status. The operator, a 23-year-old female from Needham, was cited and will be summoned to Dedham District Court for operating with a suspended license.
August 28
6:30 p.m. - An officer responded to 60 Kendrick St. for a larceny of two bicycles. The incident occurred sometime between 4:40 and 5:40 p.m. The bikes had been locked in a rack on the car. The lock had been cut and the bikes removed.
