Needham Police Log: Dumpster Fire, Theft, and More

September 7
4:00 p.m. - An officer took a walk-in report of a past incident of fraud. The reporting party stated that on Aug. 26, she observed changes to her online banking account consistent with someone attempting to commit identity fraud as well as a transaction on her account that she did not make. The reporting party stated that she has advised her bank of the incident.

September 8
9:00 a.m. - An officer on selective enforcement stopped a vehicle on Highland Avenue. After further investigation the operator, Katrina Butler, 32, of Boston,, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration, operating a motor vehicle with no insurance, and for an active straight warrant out of Dedham District Court.
8:30 p.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle for an illegal turn at Highland and Hunting Avenues. A 32-year-old woman from Waltham will be summoned to Dedham District Court for pperating a motor vehicle without a license.

September 9
3:30 p.m. - An employee at Panera Bread told police that one of their employees had stolen money from the company. They are working with the employee trying to resolve the issue and get the money back.
September 10
1:00 p.m. - An officer responded to a Central Avenue residence to speak with a party regarding credit card fraud. The victim had provided credit card information to a fraudulent company for computer repairs. The victim was provided information on helping to prevent this from occurring again.
7:30 p.m. - An officer responded to a dumpster fire on 3 Curtis Rd. to assist the Needham Fire Department. There was a floor company working at the home. The fire was extinguished and there was minor damage to the property.
