Needham Police Log: Fraud, Suspended License, and More
The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

September 12
8:45 a.m. - An officer took a walk-in report for a forged check. The reporting party stated that he had sold a cell phone over the internet. When he received his payment in the form of a check, he learned that the check was forged. The reporting party, however, had already shipped the cell phone prior to learning the authenticity of the check.
9:34 a.m. - An officer stopped a motor vehicle in the area of Highland and Second Avenues. The operator was found to be unlawfully attaching plates and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. The operator, a 21-year-old Newton woman, will be charged with attaching plates, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and red light violation. The motor vehicle was then towed from the scene and all units cleared the scene.

12:45 p.m. - An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Highland Avenue near 2nd Avenue for a red light violation. It was determined that the operator, a 31-year-old man, had a suspended license. The vehicle was towed and the operator will be summonsed for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and a red light violation.
