Needham Police Log: Hotel Fight, Unregistered Motor Vehicle, and More

The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

July 21

12:36 p.m. - An officer stopped a motor vehicle near the intersection of Highland and First Avenue for failing to display an inspection sticker. After further investigation it was determined that the operator was attaching plates, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. The operator, a 21 year old Needham male, will be charged and cited for all of these offenses. The vehicle was then towed from the scene.

3:00 p.m. - An officer initiated a traffic stop on Great Plain Avenue on a vehicle that had made an illegal left turn from Chapel Street. The operator reported that he did not have a license. The operator, a 28-year-old man from Framingham, will be summoned to court for unlicensed operation and making a prohibited left turn.

July 22

5:00 p.m. - An officer stopped a motor vehicle in the area of Highland Ave and May St. After further investigation it was determined that the registration of the vehicle was revoked for insurance. A 44 year old Boston female, will be cited and charged for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration. The citation was handed to the operator in hand and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

July 23

2:45 a.m. - Officers responded to a report of a fight in progress at the Sheraton Hotel on Cabot Street. All parties had been separated upon the officer's arrival on the scene. Two parties received minor facial injuries and refused medical treatment. No charges will be filed and both people were advised of their options.
