Needham Police Log: House Fire, OUI, and More
The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

August 31
9:50 a.m. - A walk-in reported having her credit card stolen in the area of Highland and Oakland Avenues. The reporting party became aware of the stolen card after receiving notifications from her credit card company. The reporting party advised her credit card company and bank of the theft.
10:30 a.m. - An officer was dispatched to a Garden Street address for a second floor fire at a residence. Needham fire put out the fire and no injuries were reported on scene.

10:30 a.m. - An Officer took a walk in report of a stolen UPS package from a Great Plain Avenue address. The reporting party stated that the package was stolen on Aug. 28 at approximately 3:35 p.m. The reporting party made UPS aware of the theft.
10:30 a.m. - An officer responded to a Webster Street address for the report of a suspicious male party. The party left the area in a black SUV. The area was checked and nothing fitting that description was found.

5:00 p.m. - An officer responded to a Pickering Street residence for a report of someone throwing a lit book of matches onto someone's front yard overnight.
September 1
2:20 p.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Dedham Avenue at Lincoln Street. The vehicle had revoked insurance. The operator, a 56-year-old man from Dedham, will be summoned to court for operating with a revoked registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
An Officer responded to Sudbury Farms on Highland Avenue for a report of a disturbance between a manager and employee. The matter was resolved without further incident.
11:04 p.m. -An officer responded to a single car crash into a telephone pole on Greendale Avenue. During the investigation, the operator, Emily Spence of Needham, was arrested for operating under the influence of liquor and a marked lanes violation.
